Laziness Alert

This is just a quick update to let you all know that there won’t be any updates this week (Except possibly if I post an entry into Chuck Wendig’s latest flash fiction challenge. I’ve been mulling it over for two days now, and I’m not sure I’m up to it. I mean really Wendig? A new take on apocalypse? I’ve read stories of the world ending by everything from intelligent mice, to time traveling butterflies. Let me say that again. Time. Traveling. Butterflies. I mean I pride myself that I’m a pretty creative guy, but how do I come up with something more original than that? Which is why I’ll probably end up entering the contest. Because I cannot stand the idea that there’s a story challenge that I can’t meet. If you ever really want to motivate me to do something, tell me it’s impossible.).

Whew, that was a long parenthetical. Where were we? Oh, right, no regular updates. That’s because I’m on vacation this week, and I’ve decided to take a little blogging break as well. Recharge the old batteries, if you will. Also, I’m going to be working hard on the story me and Ellie have going. We’re only about seven thousand words into the first draft, but I think I can safely say I’m excited about this one.

If was a little more proactive I would have lined up some guest posts for you guys ahead of time, but…well I didn’t. So anyway, hope you don’t miss me too much when I’m gone, and hopefully we’ll see you back here next week.

And if I haven’t said it lately…thank you all so much for reading.

  1. Enjoy your vacation! I’m sure it’ll recharge you. 😀

  2. You sure aren’t being lazy WIP-wise! We’re zipping through this first draft!

    • My goal is to be up to 25,000 words total by the end of the week. I think we can definitely be done with the rough draft by the end of August at the VERY latest. I’m loving this collaboration thing so much I may never go back to flying solo. 🙂

  3. Every bit of this sounds so good and every best wish to you both.

  4. Happy vacation, Albert!
